ABOUT B.B.A.U
The Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar university started functioning as a central university from 10th January 1996 by the act of parliament in 1994. This is the residential university fully funded by University Grants Commission.
To promote advance knowledge by providing instructional and research facilities in such branches of learning as it may deem fit, to make provisions for integrated courses in key and frontier areas of science and technology and other allied disciplines, to promote the study of the principles for which Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar worked during his life time, namely, national integration, social justice and democratic way of life and also study of constitutions of the world and to pay special attention to the promotion of education and economic interests and welfare of the people in general.
